Foundation Training - Esses Ham

So having enjoyed playing with the Software Defined Radio, I figured it was time to get my finger out and begin my official journey in Amateur (Ham) Radio and get some training.

This was an easy thing to say but a little more difficult with the United Kingdom coming out of Covid-19 lockdowns and many non-essential services and facilities being closed, figuring that clubs would be going remote training I thought I would look around to see what I could find online, this was when I came across the Essex Ham – Foundation Online training course.

I signed up, went through the course and in conjunction with “The Foundation License Manual” from the RSGB and after three weeks I had booked, taken and passed my foundation exam.

I can not underestimate enough how much the Essex Ham training course was the reason why I passed the exam, while the RSGB manual was clear having someone walking through the necessary points was something that I needed.
